Robotic Inguinal Hernia Repair
Surgery / Apr 29th, 2022 1:16 pm     A+ | a-

This Video demonstrated Da Vinci Robotic Inguinal Hernia Surgery. Robotic surgery is a newer technique for repairing hernias in which the surgeon is seated at a console and handles the surgical instruments from the console. Advantages of robotic surgery include three-dimensional images of the inside of the abdomen, smaller scars, and less pain. The operation usually takes about 30 to 45 minutes to complete and you'll usually be able to go home on the same day. While you may experience pain before and after hernia surgery, you will likely be asleep during surgery and will not feel any pain. In most open, laparoscopic, and robotic hernia repairs, your hernia surgery will use general anesthesia during the procedure. General anesthesia is very safe due to precise administration.

Robotic inguinal hernia repair has emerged as one of the most advanced and precise surgical techniques in modern minimal access surgery. At World Laparoscopy Hospital, this procedure is performed using state-of-the-art robotic platforms combined with internationally standardized surgical protocols. The hospital is globally recognized for providing high-quality surgical care as well as advanced training to surgeons from different parts of the world.

Inguinal hernia occurs when abdominal contents protrude through a weak area in the groin region, causing swelling, discomfort, and pain, especially during coughing, lifting, or prolonged standing. Traditional open surgery and laparoscopic repair have been widely used for years, but robotic surgery has added a new dimension by improving visualization, dexterity, and surgical precision.

During robotic inguinal hernia repair, the surgeon controls robotic arms from a console, allowing highly precise movements inside the patient’s body. The robotic system provides a 3D high-definition view of the surgical field, enabling better identification of anatomical structures such as nerves, blood vessels, and hernia sac. This significantly reduces the risk of complications and improves surgical outcomes.

At World Laparoscopy Hospital, robotic hernia repair is performed using minimally invasive small incisions, which results in less postoperative pain, minimal blood loss, reduced infection risk, and faster recovery. Most patients are able to walk within a few hours after surgery and return to normal daily activities much earlier compared to conventional surgery.

Another major advantage of robotic inguinal hernia repair is enhanced mesh placement and suturing accuracy. The robotic wristed instruments allow surgeons to perform delicate suturing in confined spaces, ensuring secure mesh fixation and lowering the chances of hernia recurrence.

The hospital also emphasizes comprehensive patient care, including detailed preoperative evaluation, advanced imaging when required, and structured postoperative follow-up. This holistic approach ensures patient safety and long-term surgical success.

In conclusion, robotic inguinal hernia repair represents the future of hernia surgery, combining technological excellence with surgical expertise. With its advanced infrastructure, experienced faculty, and commitment to surgical innovation, World Laparoscopy Hospital continues to set global standards in robotic and laparoscopic surgery.
