Robot-assisted laparoscopic hysterectomy (RALH) utilizes the same laparoscopic principles combined with the improved visualization of the surgical field and enhanced manipulation of robotic instruments. Robotic technology is used to perform total hysterectomies or partial hysterectomies. Single-incision robotic hysterectomies typically take between 1 ½ hour to 2 ½ hours. Surgeries requiring multiple incisions may take longer.
