There's a tremendous amount of great interest, excitement, and speculation of surgeon and Gynecologists revolving round the da Vinci surgical system. It's a fascinating bit of engineering, designed to allow advanced minimally invasive approaches to a number of surgical procedures. Predominantly, at present the productive use of "the surgical robot" has been restricted to cardiac and prostate surgeries, though lots of bright minimal access surgeons are trying to expand its applications in common laparoscopic surgery. Laparoscopic, minimally invasive general surgery procedures have gradually gained traction in the past 15-20 years. Initially restricted to simple surgeries for example cholecystectomy and appendectomy.
