Appendectomy Lecture by Dr. R K Mishra at University of South Florida
Dr. Mishra delivered a lecture on laparoscopic appendectomy at CAMLS, the University of South Florida during laparoscopic training course conducted by the World Laparoscopy Training Institute, Florida, USA.. An appendectomy is a fairly simple and common procedure. However, there are some risks associated with the surgery, including:
bleeding
infection
injury to nearby organs
blocked bowels
It’s important to note that the risks of an appendectomy are much less severe than the risks associated with untreated appendicitis. An appendectomy needs to be done immediately to prevent abscesses and peritonitis from developing.

It was my pleasure to attend your lecture today. On few occasions in the past I had talked to you about the cases. I had never imagined that you can have such a great sense of humor. Your interactive presentation was excellent. Your format and information were very effective for people and doctors.
