Dear Dr Sinha

Robotic surgery will remain an option of choice for patients requiring minimal access pelvic and abdominal surgery. More surgeons are likely to adopt this technology, which will increase availability to patients. Further technology improvements are more likely a reality.

In my opinion future of Minimal Access Surgery is Robotic surgery. Within a decade Laparoscopic Surgery is going to be completely replaced by Robotic surgery. It may be not the da Vinci Robot but many new advanced second generation robot which is already in the pipeline and will cover the market within first few years. Amadeus Robot from Titan Surgicals and FLX Robot from Transenterix has tactile feedback and picture control by the eye movement of surgeon.

Few people criticise the robotic technology but we should always remember that technology is always neutral it is never evil. IT IS UP TO BREATH THE MORAL AND ETHICAL LIFE WITH THE TECHNOLOGY AND USE WITH THE COMPASSION TO EACH AND EVERY PATIENT.

Although this is my personnel opinion and the reality is just ahead for us to see.

With regard
