Dear Dr Agrawal CholeVision is a new technique developed recently for illuminating the biliary tree utilizing differential wavelengths light which is absorbed by biliary ducts and surrounding tissues to give the idea about correct anatomy during performing laparoscopic cholecystectomy. Bile in the CBD and hepatic channel absorbs light at a wavelength of 600-700 nm which can be visualized by laparoscopic camera giving significant contrast over the surrounding soft tissue. You have to illuminate the biliary by using a fiber optic cable which is inserted into a laparoscopic clip applicator. This technique is new and not available in India but in near future it will be helpful for laparoscopic surgeons. With regard Dr R K Mishra |

They are still developing this project. Nahmias Yaakov, HUJI, School of Computer Science and Engineering, Bio-Engineering Competitive advantages proposed will be: Real time visualization of the biliary tree Enhanced procedure safety No pre-op preparation or change in surgical technique are required |
