ARFI is used in deciding texture of tissue in many medical management. Can it be helpful in Laparoscopy?

Acoustic Radiation Force Impulse (ARFI) Imaging is a type of ultrasound elastography used in medicine, particularly for the diagnosis and monitoring of cancers.

After laparoscopic cholecystectomy in a patient who is operated for acute calculous cholecystitis this Acoustic Force Impulse Imaging (ARFI), and Enhanced Liver Function Score can be used for seeing the improvement in fibrosis of liver of the patient.

Liver fibrosis induced by non-alcoholic fatty liver disease causes peri-interventional complications in morbidly obese patients because of fibrosed liver. Arfi can be used to evaluate those complicated patients.

If this technology is used then by seeing the the performance of acoustic radiation force impulse (ARFI) imaging, and enhanced liver fibrosis score for fibrosis detection in bariatric patients a type of bariatric surgery can be proposed. Many studies are done for evaluation of Acoustic Radiation Force Impulse Imaging (ARFI), and enhanced Liver Function (ELF) Score for Detection of Fibrosis in Morbidly Obese Patients.
