Dear Sir,

If after completing the surgery 10mm ports are not closed what are the consequences and is it always required to close 10mm port?

I think 10 mm port should must be closed otherwise there is high chance of developing incisional hernia. 10 mm ports should be closed under vision by using suture passer. Dr. R. K. Mishra has invented a technique of closing the port by veress needle that is also very attractive technique. There are many automatic port closure device also available in market which can be used to close the port.
