Accessing epigastric port from left side of falciform ligament in Laparoscopic Cholecystectomy

I have noticed many surgeons condemning the practice of entering the right port from left side of falciform ligament and puncturing the membraneous part and entering the right side.

They prefer to enter from the right side of the falciform ligament itself.

Is there any variation in such a technique?

Which is better, proper, safer and easier?

Going right to the falciform ligament will increase your elevation angle.
