Hi Sir,

I read about the service your hospital is providing and it is a matter of pride for me that our country has doctors like you. I am a student based in Pune and i am doing a research on Laproscopy surgeries esp. 'Laparoscopic Cholecystectomy'.

I wanted few answers from you for my research.
1.Does Lap Chole.require a ventilator as a mandatory equipment to be present at the hospital where the operation is supposed to take place ?
2.What if the inferior vena cava gets damaged (due to trocar insertion) during surgery ? What are the consequences?

I shall be highly obliged if you could spare few minutes over my questions and help me in my research.

Regards,
Anupriya

Ventilator is requires as a life saving instrument and it should be there. It is not routinely required in every patient.

Hi,
If we talk about medical camps in villages where lap.chole.takes place but ventilators are not available, also it is not mentioned in the list of the equipments required for this.? I can understand that ventilator is required if we are taking precautions in all aspects but there are so many hospitals which do not have ventilators and Lap. chole. takes place.
I mean in this way ventilator is required for every operation as there might be chances that a patient is not able to breathe.
Please help.

Regards,
Anupriya
