Dear K.Subramanyam, All the terms and conditions of insurance depends on offer documents which we sign at the time of taking the insurance plan.So just check the conditions once again. According to IRDA MEDICO-LEGAL MANUAL. Emergency Illness means illness or injury which occurs suddenly and unexpectedly and require immediate treatment to avoid death or prolonged illness. It is very true that insurance company do not pay for pre existing disease. Hence I suggest you to contact your insurance company for detailed information. With Regards ADITYA RAJESHWAR |
