Sir,My sister age 27 and she is unmarried.She is has a problem of a Subserous Fibroids of size 60mm x 53mm in cross section and 89mm length.Sometimes she feel pain and is irregular.but does not have any excess bleeding in her periods. Docter has told that as she is unmarried and young they will do Laproscopic myomectomy but the size of the fibroids is large (60mm x 53mm in cross section and 89mm length) so they directly do do surgery. she has to take GnRH (Lupron)hormone to shrink the fibroids first.when size becomes samller then they will do laproscopic surgery. But here we want to know that is is a correct procedure of tratment??Whether Laproscopic myomectomy is possible in this size or not or she has to shrink it first by GNRH?? Does GNRH has any side Effects.Is there any chance of INFERTILITY in future??/We are planning to give her married next year 2012. Please clear me the above questions.I am very grateful for your advice. Regards Munna |
