|I have my first menstruation in standard 5, which is 11 years old. My second period was one and a half years later. After that, it has not been regular even until now, after 10 years. So within this 10 years, I have my menstruation like twice a year. Sometimes thrice a year. 3 years back I experienced my first breast pain which is accompanied by sore nipples. I guess this is due to my problem of hormonal imbalance. I went to a chinese physician after then. I had my period after drinking the cooked herbs. But after that period, even though I continue drinking the cooked herbs, my menstruation didn't have the sign of coming again. I asked the chinese physician and he said it is due to my high stress level as that was during my STPM examination. Half a year ago, I went to a doctor for the first time after so many years of irregular menstruation and was diagnosed with polycystic ovarian syndrome after the ultrasound and rectal examination. After then, I started consuming NORCOLUT for about once in every two months. I want to enquire about the efficiency of Flaxseed oil in regulating my menstruation. Can I stop consuming Norcolut? As I have seen from the internet that it contains progestin that will trigger breast cancer. Is there any ways to induce my body to produce progesterone naturally instead of consuming Norcolut? Or is there any ways to cure it? I'm in my 22 now.|

Polycystic Ovary Syndrome or PCOS is a condition affecting the ovaries that can produce symptoms related to your menstrual cycle, fertility, hormones, insulin production, heart, blood vessels and appearance.
Clomiphene medication and gonadotropin injections can be used to stimulate the ovary to ovulate. Metformin can be taken with fertility medications and helps to make PCOD women ovulate on lower doses of medication.
Although it is not recommended as the first course of treatment, laparoscopic surgery called Ovarian Drilling is available to induce ovulation. We makes a very small incision below the navel, and inserts a telescope into the abdomen. This is called laparoscopy and we punctures the ovary with a small needle carrying an electric current to destroy a small portion of the ovary. This procedure carries a risk of developing scar tissue on the ovary. This surgery can lower male hormone levels and help with ovulation.
