Doctor its about my aunt.4 months back she was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer.and due to her medical condition first the doctors here were decided to put her stent.then it was done three times due to infections.Again they decided to postpone the whipples procedure due to her medical condition and high infection.now three shots of chemo was given to her.the doctor decided to shrink the tumor before the surgery. Now the severe pain has reduced for her.and again the ct scan was taken yesterday.still we didnt get the report of that.now she is with metal stent. Her infection also has gone down.blood count also fine.So is it possible for her to proceed with whipples surgery?she is a diabetic patient.your kind reply on this will be very helpful.im waiting for your reply to send you her medical records.thankyou |

Dear Farook I think now this is the time to get whipples get done for your aunt. Whipple procedure, or Kausch-Whipple procedure, is a major surgical operation involving the pancreas, duodenum, and other organs. This operation is performed to treat cancerous tumours on the head of the pancreas, malignant tumors involving common bile duct, duodenal papilla, duodenum near the pancreas, and/or pancreatitis with or without definitive cause. Laparoscopic Whipples is also possible and you can get this surgery done at World Laparoscopy Hospital. With regard J S Chowhan |
