I am 29 years of age and I am married for four year but no children yet. My problem with my health is once my mensturation states it goes on for eight Or nine months until I see a doctor. Recently as well , last year on august it started. It was like stop bleeding for two days and start but from this January bleeding has been really heavy with clots . Recently my gp (general practitioner ) has given me a primo lout N. and my blood test results show Tsh 7.0 and iron deficiency . Because of the tablet given now bleeding has decreased but I would like to get a recommendation for my treatment as I would lille to extend my family. In anticipation Thanking you Bhrikuti chudal |

Dear Bhrikuti chudal The cause of your dysmenorrhea and infertility has to be worked out to diagnose exact cause. A general change in hormone levels is a common reason for abnormal menstrual bleeding. This is called dysfunctional uterine bleeding. Other causes of abnormal menstrual bleeding include: 1.Endometrial hyperplasia 2.Cancer of the uterus 3.Uterine fibroids, uterine polyps i.e. small noncancerous growths in the lining of the uterus, adenomyosis 4.Medical conditions such as thyroid and pituitary disorders, diabetes, cirrhosis from the liver, and systemic lupus erythematosus 5.Pregnancy complications -- such as miscarriage or ectopic pregnancy when a fertilized egg implants somewhere other than the uterus. 6.Changes in oral contraceptives or estrogens that you simply take 7.Use of certain drugs such as steroids or blood thinners for example, warfarin or Coumadin) 8.Use of an intrauterine device (IUCD) for birth control Recent trauma, surgery, or any other uterine procedure 9.Infection in the uterus like pelvic inflammatory disease 10.Bleeding disorders such as Von Willebrand disease Polycystic ovary syndrome 11.Stress, alternation in diet or workout, recent weight reduction or weight gain, travel, or illness With regards J.S.Chowhan |
