|Dear Arooj Aziz
You correct thinking about diagnostic laparoscopy. Diagnostic laparoscopy enables you to determine the reason for both acute and chronic pain. Some of the problems that could cause acute or chronic abdominal pain are: appendicitis, adhesions or intra-abdominal scarring, pelvic infections, endometriosis, abdominal bleeding and less common, cancer. Quite often, choices can identify the problem and even correct it throughout the same procedure.
Issues that occur with a womans reproductive organs sometimes cannot be discovered by an actual examination alone. Other tests, X-ray, or ultrasound may still leave some uncertainty. In Gynaecological problems, Diagnostic laparoscopy can be done for:
Confirming endometriosis or pelvic inflammatory disease, adhesions
Finding ovarian cysts
Locating the cause of abdominal pain
Searching for blockage from the fallopian tubes
Finding other causes resulting in infertility
For diagnosing tubal pregnancy.
You can get diagnosotic laparoscopy vy any good gynecologists.
