How long I have to wait for my bilateral verecocele embolization after the bilatera Ingunal laproscopic hernia repair or viceversa? I am planing both in a month time. Is it possible? |

Dear Mark Why you want to go for embolization if you already has to go for laparoscopic hernia repair. Laparoscopic varicocelectomy has been recommended in the context of concurrent laparoscopic procedure, such as hernia repair. Disadvantages of Percutaneous venous embolization include long duration of the procedure, failure to access the internal spermatic vein, radiation exposure and recurrent varicocele. The success of this procedure is clearly dependent upon the skill and experience of the interventional radiologist. Since the access to the right internal spermatic vein is very difficult and requires significant time, bilateral percutaneous embolization procedure is usually not indicated.
