|The patient had a severe accident 1 and a half years ago. He has trouble standing up, his sight in one eye is badly affected. When he stands up and tries to walk, he loses control of his brain. According to him, if he sleeps more than 4 hours in a row, he cannot get up and move.
So he too wakes up at night in the 4 hour interval of movement and then goes back to bed. According to the neurologist and ophthalmologist, he is fine and is back to work. We are very concerned about him. I need your advice. The doctor has asked her to have an MRI twice a week, which has now become hectic.

|Dear Dilip Saxena
Head Injury can affect various parts of the brain which control emotions, speech, vision, personality, sense of fear, feeling of euphoria etc. besides movement, memory, intelligence. MRI brain scan may be normal and still the patient is behaving abnormally. Repeated MRI scan, twice a week will not be helpful. I feel you should take a second opinion.
