My father is suffering from gall Bladder stone problem. Name Dr.B.K.Arya Age: 45 years Ultra Sound Report: Contracted gall bladder containing calculi causing distal acoustic shadowing representing WES triad. Prominent CBD but no obvious distal calculus seen. Grade I fatty liver with borderline splenomegaly. Mildly thick walled urinary bladder with no significant post void residue. Blood investigation and thyroid Test are ok In 2008 Patient suffering from Hyperthyroidism but now no medicine for same taking. Current position no hunger, vomiting,weakness, lose motion, Bp- 160/100, Plus 80, weight 65 |

Dear Radhikesh Kumar According to report you should get the laparoscopic cholecystectomy done for your father. With laparoscopic surgery of cholecystectomy, your father probably will only have to stay in the hospital overnight. Whereas with open cholecystectomy, your father would have to stay in the hospital for about five days. Because the incisions are smaller with laparoscopic cholecystectomy, there is not as much pain after this operation as after open cholecystectomy. With regards M.K. Gupta |
