i undergone lap aapendectomy in 1998 sice that my abdomen creates lots of pain i went fr xray recently they found 6 clips inside my abdomen....i would like to ask how many clips left inside fr this type of procedure as its only removal of appendix only..thanks v.much |

Dear Lynetta Muhin Generally in laparoscopic appendicectomy we do not apply any clip. We use either knot or Endo GI stapler. Some surgeons are using titanium clips for mesoappendix. If the clip is used also it is getting covered by fibrous tissue after some time and it should not cause pain. You should take advice from the surgeon who has performed the surgery.
