Dear Mr Tarun Kumar Fibroids are benign tumors from the uterus. They are also called uterine leiomyomas, or just myomas. They grow in the muscle cells from the uterus and could protrude from the inside or outside top of the uterus or they may be contained inside the muscular wall. Fibroids are very common. About A quarter of women in their childbearing years may have signs of fibroids that can be detected by a pelvic examination, although not all will experience symptoms. Fibroids could cause infertility in a number of various ways. A fibroid may cause compression on the fallopian tubes resulting in a blockage from the passage of sperm or eggs. A sizable fibroid may distort the pelvic anatomy sufficiently to really make it difficult for the fallopian tube to capture an egg at the time of ovulation. If a fibroid protrudes in to the uterine cavity or causes distortion of the uterine cavity, it may present an analog barrier to implantation. Some studies have suggested that fibroids within the muscle portion of the uterus could cause an alteration or decrease in blood flow to the uterine lining which makes it more difficult for an implanted embryo to grow and develop. Another theory suggests that even small fibroids that grow inside of the uterine cavity may act as a foreign body and result in a degeneration that makes the uterine environment hostile for an embryo to implant. Laparoscopic myomectomy is the good option for that management of your spouse. In this procedure, the fibroids are removed through laparoscopy . With laparoscopy, a fiberoptic telescope inserted via a tiny incision in or underneath the belly button, through which choices can visualize the uterus. Additional tiny incisions are used to introduce long thin operating instruments which can be manipulated to get rid of the fibroids and repair the uterus afterward. Laparoscopy is most suitable for ladies with a couple of small to moderate sized fibroids which are on the outer top of the uterus. You can take the facility of our hospital to get this surgery done.
