Dear Waseema

Laparoscopy is one of the most common procedure used to diagnose and remove mild to moderate endometriosis at World Laparoscopy Hospital. In laparoscopy instead of using a large abdominal incision, the laparoscopic surgeon inserts a lighted viewing instrument called a laparoscope through a small incision of abdominal wall. If the laparoscopic surgeon needs better access, he or she makes one or two more small 5 mm incisions for inserting other surgical instruments.

During laparoscopic surgery if endometriosis or scar tissue needs to be removed, laparoscopic surgeon will use one of various techniques to treat endometriosis, including cutting and removing tissue (excision) or destroying it with a laser beam or electric current called electrocautery.

We regularly perform this surgery at World Laparoscopy Hospital.
