Hi, I am suffering from PCOD since 14 years. I have tried to reduce my weight since then trough various channels like gym, dance, diet, yoga, vlcc etc. But have received no good results. I am on contraceptive pills - Estelle 35 ED lifelong (as prescribed by doctor). My current weight is 92kgs and height is 5'2". I have multiple cysts on my ovaries and my right ovary is inflameed. I have done USG last year. The cysts are about 2cms (as informed by doctor). Hence, I wanted to know if I should get laproscopic ovarian drilling done. Recently i have started to feel nauseating and have pain in my right side of stomach. Please Advise. |

Dear Neha Shukla According to your weight and height your BMI is more than 40 and you fall in the the category of the morbid obese patients. Do you also suffer from Hypothyroidism. For PCOD definitely you should get Ovarian Drilling but for obesity also you should consult Bariatric Surgeon for advice. At World laparoscopy Hospital we are doing both the procedures.
