Diagnostic laparoscopy should be done to see Fibroids, scarring, endometriosis and blocked fallopian tubes are reasons behind female infertility. Laparoscopy can be a surgery that enables a health care provider to check your uterus, ovaries and fallopian tubes to ascertain if any sexual causes are present. If your physician determines explanation for infertility through the procedure, it may be treated immediately using a surgical instrument inserted by way of a small incision within your lower abdomen. In the event of severe tubal disease or scar tissue formation, in vitro fertilization may be a good choice for conceiving. Laparoscopy, a brief procedure done under general anesthesia, is generally performed within a hospital or surgery center.
Once the anesthesia becomes effective, a needle is inserted to your abdomen and a harmless gas is injected through the needle. The gas adds to the abdominal wall so the physician are able to see your reproductive organs more clearly. As soon as the gas is inserted, the needle is taken away as well as a laparoscope, a narrow, fiberoptic telescope, is inserted by way of a tiny incision.
A probe, accustomed to move and lift organs to find out hidden areas, is inserted through another small incision with your lower abdomen. Scissors enable you to reduce scarring, and lasers or electrocautery enable you to treat endometriosis. The injection of dye over the tubes, much like HSG, are often performed currently to detect blockage inside the fallopian tubes.
