Dear seetha ramaiah

You need thorough investigation. Let us take a look at the most frequent reasons for menorrhagia or heavy menstrual bleeding which I am discussing below.

A hormonal imbalance during adolescence or menopause is easily the most common cause of heavy menstrual bleeding. During adolescence after girls have their own first periods, as well as a long period before the onset of menopause when menstruation ceases, our hormones levels are fluctuating which in turn contributes to excessive uterine bleeding during our periods. It is often simple to treat menorrhagia a result of hormonal imbalances with birth control pills and other hormones.

Uterine fibroid tumors are another quite normal cause of excessive menstruation. It is vital that you recognize that fibroid tumors are usually benign (non-cancerous) tumors that frequently happen in the uterus of females during their thirties or forties. Even though the cause of uterine fibroid tumors is unclear, it can be clear that they're estrogen-dependent. Several surgery are for sale for treating fibroid tumors in the uterus including myomectomy, endometrial ablation, uterine artery embalization, and uterine balloon therapy, and also hysterectomy. Non-surgical pharmacological treatments for fibroid tumors include GnRH agonists, oral contraceptives, androgens, RU486 (the abortion pill), and gestrinone. Some women find natural progesterone to become just right for uterine fibroid tumors. Often, when symptoms are not severe or troublesome, a “wait and see” approach is taken. Once menopause occurs, uterine fibroid tumors typically shrink and disappear unattended.

Cervical polyps are small, fragile growths that begin in either the mucosal surface of the cervix, or perhaps the endocervical canal and protrude over the opening from the cervix. The main cause of cervical polyps is not clear; however, they are generally the effect of contamination and a lot of times connected with an abnormal reply to increased estrogen levels or congestion from the veins perfectly located at the cervix. Women normally impacted by cervical polyps are the ones over the age of twenty who may have had children. A straightforward out patient office method that removes the development, in addition to antibiotics, may be the usual answer to cervical polyps.

Endometrial polyps are normally non-cancerous, growths that protrude from your lining with the uterus. The reason for endometrial polyps is unclear, whilst they are often associated with an way over estrogen following hormone treatment or particular sorts of ovarian tumors. Treatments for endometrial polyps include hysteroscopy and D&C. A pathology lab will evaluate endometrial polyps for cancer following removal.

Lupus is really a chronic inflammatory, and autoimmune ailment that affects several areas of the body, specially the skin, joints, blood, and kidneys. Explanation for lupus is unclear; however, it is considered that patients have a genetic predisposition to Lupus and scientists are aware that environmental factors including infections, some types of antibiotics -- particularly sulpha and penicillin drugs, UV light, severe stress, hormones and certain other drugs play an integral role in triggering disease symptoms. The signs and symptoms of Lupus vary widely among patients, as do the treatments including avoiding stress to drugs including non-steroidal anti-inflammatory medications or NSAIDS, acetaminophen, steroids, antimalarials, cytoxic or immunosuppressive drugs, and anticoagulants.

Pelvic inflammatory disease (PID) can be an infection of just one or maybe more organs that affects the uterus, fallopian tubes, and cervix. PID is, generally, sexually transmitted disease; however, often it occurs following childbirth, abortion, and other gynecological procedures. The recommended treatment for pelvic inflammatory disease is antibiotic therapy.

Cervical cancer is a kind of cancer that happens when cells in the cervix become abnormal, multiply out of hand, and damage healthy areas of the body. The human being papillomavirus, or HPV, will be the cause of over 90 percent of all cervical cancers. Treating of cervical cancer include surgery, chemotherapy, and radiotherapy.

Endometrial cancer takes place when abnormal cells from the uterus or endometrium (the liner in the uterus) multiply uncontrollable and injury to the uterus and also other organs. Even though the reason for endometrial cancer is unknown, you are able to that ladies diagnosed with this sort of cancer tend are generally over fifty, usually have endometrial hyperplasia, or often use hormone replacement therapy (HRT). The 1st strategy for endometrial cancer is generally a hysterectomy, possibly followed by chemotherapy and/or radiation treatments.

IUDs or intrauterine devices used for contraception certainly are a potential reason behind heavy menstrual bleeding or menorrhagia. Females who experience prolonged or heavy periods with all the IUD should have the device removed and judge another way of contraception.

Bleeding disorders occur if it is challenging for one to stop bleeding. While there are lots of varieties of bleeding disorders, the commonest type in women is von Willebrand Disease or VWD. Treating of von Willebrand Disease involve the making of stored clotting factors within the blood, or perhaps extreme cases the replacing of the clotting factor with IV treatment or with prescribed nasal spray.
