doctors found 3 fibroids 4cm, 3cm & 2cm what our my options. I am really nervous about surgery, I am a thyroid ca paitient also. |

Dear Gillian Clayton Most of the time thyroid does not need any surgery and you should concentrate on your thyroid problem. If you want surgery following option is there: Interventions considered include: No intervention ("watchful waiting"). Medical therapies: Nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs). Oral contraceptive pills (OCPs). Progestational agents. Other oral agents identified in a literature search (e.g., mifepristone, tibolone, herbal preparations). Gonadotropin-releasing hormone (GnRH) agonists (both as primary therapy and as an adjunct to myomectomy or hysterectomy). Invasive therapies: Uterine artery embolization. Coagulation using cautery or laser. Myomectomy. Hysterectomy. In addition, the EPC reviewed the available evidence on the following strategies for managing asymptomatic fibroids: No intervention.
