I m 32 yrs old,I m pregnant of 6 weeks but recently in ultrasound I came to know that I have fibroid of size 10.3*7.4 in mid lower body uterus on left podteriorly.No mass effect seen . I want to whether I should continue my pregnancy or not and if I continue then what problems may come. Pls suggest |

Dear Alka You please discuss with a gynecologist. There is some reduction in the size of the fibroid during the pregnancy but in large fibroid sitting in the mid lower body of the uterus it may obstruct in the normal delivery. Had this fibroid been subserous and fundal in location there was no problem. Thanks With Regards Dr J S Chowhan |
