Dear Ustab Roy Hypothyroidism in children is associated with cretinism and dwarfism, and is very important for the mental growth of the child. Since the mother breast feeds the child so the thyroid hormone in the mother's milk is the only source of this hormone for the child. Please get treated both your wife and child for hypothyroidism.
