Hello I am interested in having the Retroperitoneoscopic Lumbar Sympathectomy for plantar hyperhidrosis. I had a similar surgery in the past but from talking to another doctor in the field he believes the surgery I had cut the nerve too low in the chain so I only had sucess on stopping the sweating on the foot from the bottom of the soles down to the heel while the toes and soles still sweat. I am seeing if my insurance covers the surgery at the other doctor in the US, which I don't think it will and I am very interested to see if your hospital can do the surgery. Please let me know any next steps to take to find out more about having the surgery at your hospital.

Dear Angella

The conventional lumbar sympathectomy procedure is performed through the extraperitoneal route requires a muscle cutting-splitting incision, which leads to significant postoperative pain and prolonged convalescence. With increasing experience in retroperitoneoscopic procedures are now more popular. For you retroperitoneoscopic lumbar sympathectomy is a safe and effective procedure and we can perform it. Redo surgery is however difficult because fibrosis develop after first surgery.

The next step is that you should fill up an online appointment form by going to the following link to our website. Depending upon the information given by you we will send you the invitation letter. On behalf of this invitation letter you will get VISA to India. We will do some of the preoperative test here and then your surgery will be planned,

With regard
