I had an appendic operation, which later caused me having a blockage in the intestine ( an operation had been done ) around a year or two the intestine was having very bad adhesion ( final operation been done ). Since then, I have been in and out of hospital because of the same problem occurs and now, specialist adviced me not to have another operation for it can become worst than before the last operation. Now, my stools came out sometimes watery, sometimes normal, and sometimes none. This has happened for around three weeks in changing. I have to go to the toilet to pass motion cause I cannot stand for waiting around 5 minutes more. Then now, I had stopped going toilet for three days, the gas came out not a lot. So, I have to pump in the liquid in order to let the stools come out. Problem is that it is causing tremendous pain when the stools come out. There was time when I fainted inside the toilet because of this. I want to know, what is the future holding for me? Am I starting the needs to keep pumping liquid into the anal for every three days in order to pass motion? Is it safe to often use the pump? What are the side effects? I just wanted to know the current condition. The effects that I am going through are pain, bloating, not able to pass motion, and sometimes having watery stools for continuing two to three days. Please let me know what am I going to face in the future in these conditions. Thank you. Will be waiting for your answer, please send to the email address which I have provided to you. Thank you!

Dear D Cheong
It appears that you have been operated upon for three times, first for appendicitis, then for intestinal obstruction and last time for adhesions. You have not mentioned whether open or laparoscopic surgery was done. You should get one Barium Meal study done and send the report to us for further advice. Maybe you will have to come personally also for physical examination.

Thanks

With Regards
