I hope you are doing well. My name is Avanti Nagaraj. I am a 29-year-old female living in Hyderabad, Telangana. I am unmarried. I used to live in the USA but moved back to India a few months ago. In July 2020 during a general physical examination, I was diagnosed with a large abdominal mass. I had an ultrasound, creatinine test, CT scan, CA-125 marker test, and several blood tests done. It turns out that there was a large cystic lesion measuring 27x19.9x10cm. We had gone to a famous hospital in Hyderabad. Yashoda Hospitals. The doctor there had suggested that the mass may have to be removed by an open stomach surgery vertically and test it for cancer. After hearing this it all seemed very scary and entailed consequences lifelong including fertility issues. We then opted for ayurvedic treatment by melting the mass and flushing it out medicinally. After 2 months of treatment, I got another ultrasound done. There are some changes as per the report positive and negative (Lesion now measures 25.1x20.7cm and solid components are not evident), but we are not sure about the clear picture of my current situation and what is the best way from here. Your problem seems to be Mucinous cystadenoma of the right Ovary and it can be removed by laparoscopic surgery. Your Cyst can be removed by laparoscopy but the chance of malignancy can not be ruled out. We can not tell anyway that it is cancerous or not. After removing the cyst biopsy of the tissue will be done and that can only tell us further course of management. |
