Hiatus Hernia and GERD

I was diagnosed with mild hiatal hernia in July 2016 and have been having the following symptoms which have recently gotten worse such as feeling full 5-6 hours in spite of eating small amounts, nausea after eating certain foods, chest pain/tightness and burning sensation when lying down or sitting, inability to belch after any meal/drink forcing me to eat/drink very small amounts, when I am finally able to belch I burp non stop for hours. PPIs such as Omeprazole and Antacids are not really helping me for my chest pain and nausea. At times while swallowing food esp rice my chest becomes so tight and I have to take deep breaths. After a meal I also experience squeezing feeling/uncomfortable contractions in my stomach which lasts for 1-2 hours. I am also unable to sleep due to the chest pain which lasts for hours with occasional burning sensation down my throat, elevating my head helps a little. I feel much better when I am in a standing posture though. I suspect this hiatal hernia might be causing all my symptoms.

The Singapore doctors are not treating this as so serious and I am frustrated as the quality of my life is being affected. One specialist mentioned that my digestive tract could be sensitive hence the chest pain I am experiencing and the slow digestion could be due to IBS. I only started experiencing all my symptoms only after being diagnosed with Hiatal Hernia so I beg to differ.

I was advised by another specialist that conventional laparoscopic repair is very risky and asked me to change my lifestyle and exercise. I would like to get a permanent solution as the inability to burp and random chest pain is causing a lot of inconveniences as I can only consume very small portions of food with few hours breaks in between.

I would like to visit India in 2-3 months time to address this issue for good and hopefully be a suitable candidate for TIF procedure.
I would like to know the estimated costs of the necessary investigations including the TIF procedure. I would like to know the likely prognosis of this procedure and how long the GERD free symptoms will likely last? Lastly how soon can the TIF procedure be done and the post-surgical recovery period if I am deemed to be a suitable candidate? I will need to apply to leave at my present workplace. Please refer to the attached documents.

Dear Madam,

Before performing TIF we have to do dual prosthesis ambulatory 24 hours pH monitoring and if it points toward TIF we can perform surgery within a week time.
