I am 47 years old from Bangladesh. I am having fabroid in Uterus. I had USG if whole abdomen 2D on 2 April, 2011 whose report is: UTERUS- Retrovated in position and bulky in size which measures about 56.4 mm in AP diameter. Myometrium is inhomogenous due to presence of atleast three well defined, hypoechoic, inhomogenous mass lesions, measuring about 10.2 x 7.07 cm, 4.91 x 4.6 mm and 3.2 x 3.1 mm in size are seen in the anterior wall of the body, fundal wall and posterior wall respectively. Endometrial thickness measures about 6.2 mm. Cervix is broad with N cyst. RIGHT OVARY: (Volume being 4.93 cubic centimeter) Normal in size. Ovarian parenchyma shows normal echogenicity with regular outline. LAFT OVARY: (Volume being 5.23 cubic centimeter) Normal in size. Ovarian parenchyma shows normal echogenicity with regular outline. CUL-DE-SAC: No collection is noted. GALL BLADDER: Normal in size and contour. PANCREAS: Normal in size. SPLEEN: Normal. KIDNEYS: Both normal in size,a shape and position. My fabroid is 10+ YEARS OLD. I want to remove fibroid. I have very low hemoglobin. I had my another small fabroid operation in breast from Vellore Christian hospital in 1997 and have no complain. I have 2 children age 20+ and was normal delivery. Please let me know. a. What is the best possible way to remove it. b. Number of days I require to stay in your hospital. c. Approximate cost in Indian Rupees. d. Approx rest days I require in India after leaving your hospital. e. Any other advice. I intent to be in New Delhi for this purpose by 10-12 May 2011. Dear Zahida Alam If your family is already complete we will recommend you to get your uterus removed because at this age of 47 there is no point to remove fibroid only. If you want to get only fibroid removed we can also do that but in case of low hemoglobin we have to transfuse blood. Please get one appointment with our laparoscopic surgeon and then we will plan your surgery which will cure your disease. |
