Respected sir, I am Shaurav, I have had pain in my lower back for the past 2 months. Due to pain, I paid a visit to an orthopedic, they suggested me to undergo a Mri scan. "Posterior annular fissure with the mild posterior annular bulge is seen at l4 L5 level indenting the thecal sac." This was stated in the MRI scan report. I was having pain in the left side of the lower back, the pain was radiating from the lower back to the left leg. Now after medication and physiotherapy, there is no pain in the leg but the My lower back hurts when i sit for a longer time. I am attaching my MRI scan report. Please suggest me treatment for the same. Thanking you |

We have seen your report. Please continue physiotherapy. Lumbar spine (low back) stability is largely dependent on the supporting abdominal and low back musculature. The abdominal muscles provide the initial stabilizing support through their ability to generate pressure within the abdomen which is exerted posteriorly on the spine, thus providing an anterior support column. The low back muscles stabilize the spine from the back and lead to posterior support. Simply stated, the bony spine and discs are surrounded by muscles, and the stronger these specific muscles are, the less stress is placed on the discs and joints of the spine. |
