I have been detected with adenomyosis of the uterus recently last month. I have had heavy bleeding and clots during menstruation with terrible pain in the lower abdomen and heavy legs since my periods started at the age of 14 years. But after trying allopathy homeopathy and ayurvedic when i still faced the same problem i decided to go in for surgery thinking it maybe because of fibroids, but when the doctor has operated he was not able to detect margins for the same to be removed, so he only cut a piece of it and send it for biopsy which was detected as adenomyosis of the uterus. My uterus has been enlarged to 12-13 weeks, the doctor has suggested to take injections depicting menopause for a period of 6 months so that blood flow can be cut to the same leading to shrinkage in the size. But he also said there maybe side effects which i am scared of. And that even if we plan hysterectomy there maybe complications because all the internal organs are stuck with each other. I am 37 years old with no child yet and i really dont know what i should do ? if such a old disease can be cured completely as now its almost more than 20 years i have been suffering from it and if i will be able to conceive and whether i should follow the doctor opinion of the injections or is there any other solution to it, i would be really grateful. |
