my son having left polycystic kidney. We have carried USG for kidney recently. Now reports are showing increase in size of cysts as well as type 3 kidney disease in right kidney also. Blood and urine reports showing normal creatinine and urea level. kindly suggest me about this. |

Dear Amol The KFT report is normal which is a good news.Most children with ADPKD do not need any treatment until they reach adulthood. If your child has high blood pressure than it should be treated with the help of ACE inhibitors. This is to help reduce their risk of having heart problems or blood vessel disease in the future. It might also slow down the speed at which their ADPKD worsens, although more research is needed before we can be sure. |
