Hello

I need your advice because I'm in Saudi Arabia and the Hospitalization here is so bad,

My height is 5'10 ft. and weight is 220.5 pounds, Age: 32 Years old.

I had known that I got ulcerative colitis in August 2011, and now after one year I had a polyp in my Gallbladder

I used to take for ulcerative colitis daily (forever):
Predlone (Prednisolone) 20mg --- 1/2 tablet (5mg) once a day
Salazopyrin (Sulfasalazine) 500 mg EN-tabs ----- 6 tablets a day
Imuran (Azathioprine) 50 mg Tablets BP --------- 3 tablets a day

I've got married in Apr 2011, we decided to get baby four months ago, I'm 32 years old and She is 30 years old.

We tried many times (failed), made analysis:
(She is OK) and myself had less amount of sperm (because of Sulfasalazine or Azathioprine as I believe) and the shapes is not OK, plus I had small Varicocele.
So physician advised me to take the following medicine for 2 months if not OK he will make surgery.
Before one month I started to take the following medicine for Varicocele:

1.Bioxidant (Proanthocyanidins [Grape seed extract] 20mg, Vit A [Beta carotene] 5000IU, Vit E 150IU, Vit C 300mg, Copper 1mg, Zinc 7.5mg, Selenium 105mcg, Manganese 5mg, L-cystine 25mg, L-Methionine 25mg)Capsules -------------- one capsule a day.
2.Venoruton (Forte 500) O-(β-hydroxyethyl)-rutosides tablets ------------------------- one tablet a day

I made Pelvi-Abdominal Ultrasonographic examination and got this results:

1. Gall bladder is of average size with normal wall thickness and showing echogenic shadow seen at the neck measuring about 0.59 cm adherent to the wall with no posterior acoustic shadowing? Polyp

Doctor advised me to take the following medicine but I took 4 tablets and stopped because already I'm taking a lot of medicines and I think this medicine has radiation:

Buscopan 10 mg (dibasic calcium phosphate, maize starch, starch soluble, aerosil 200, tartaric acid, stearic acid, polyvidone, saccharose, talc, acacia, titanium dioxide, polyethylene glycol 6000, carnauba wax, beeswax white) tablets ------ 3 tablets a day.

2. Liver is of average size with smooth surface and sharp edges, Parenchyma presents bright echo pattern with normal internal structures, No discrete masses or focal lesions. No dilated bile ducts are seen.

3.Enlarged prostate: Prostate is average in size with homogenous texture, with estimated prostate weight of 45 + gm.

Dear Salivan

Nearly all gallbladder polyps are harmless - composed of cholesterol buildup, not cancer cells. But, gallbladder polyps might actually be small tumors - some of which may be cancerous while some are benign growths. These small growths can poke out of the inside of the gallbladder wall. When it comes to gallbladder polyps, size definitely matters: The larger the polyp, the higher the risk of gallbladder cancer. Polyps which are larger than 1 centimeter are most likely to be cancerous, while those small compared to that are unlikely to become - in order to eventually be - cancerous.

Gallbladder polyps may not cause any symptoms whatsoever. However they could cause biliary colic (abdominal pain from the gallbladder). This kind of pain is often caused by gallstones, but if they aren't found, gallbladder polyps may be responsible.

With regards

M.K. Gupta
