Dear Saraya A rectocele in female is a bulging of the front wall of the rectum into the back wall of the vagina due to herniation. Rectoceles are usually due to thinning of the rectovaginal septum and the tissue between the rectum and vagina and weakening of the pelvic floor muscles. Although the term rectocele applies most usually to the phenomenon of rectal herniation into the vagina in females but surgery is required and if required which type of surgery is required it depends on the physical examination by a good Gynecologist. Please try to consult nearby and then get the advice. With regard J S Chowhan |
