Discussion in 'All Categories' started by saraya - Apr 11th, 2013 5:25 pm.
I have been suffering from chronic constipation for a long long time. In had hemeorectomy in 2007 and fissurectomy in 2008
for last four months i have severe burning sensation and pain in anal area.
I had defaecogram done last week which shows there is a posterior bulging of rectum, relative laxity of the pelvic floor
and moderate anterior rectocele.
Please advice me how this problem could be solved.

Dear Saraya

A rectocele in female is a bulging of the front wall of the rectum into the back wall of the vagina due to herniation. Rectoceles are usually due to thinning of the rectovaginal septum and the tissue between the rectum and vagina and weakening of the pelvic floor muscles. Although the term rectocele applies most usually to the phenomenon of rectal herniation into the vagina in females but surgery is required and if required which type of surgery is required it depends on the physical examination by a good Gynecologist. Please try to consult nearby and then get the advice.
