|I am a 51yrs old female, controlled diabetic and hypertensive. I am from Trinidad West Indies. Three years ago I got an anal abscess which was drained from the rectal canal resulting in the formation of a fistula, Since then I had many flare ups of the abscess, a cutting Seton was inserted in August of this year, which I realize now is unsuccessful since the Seton tread is about to burst without cutting through. So I'm back to where I started.
I would like to know if the Vaaft procedure is suitable for me and the cost of treatment.
If not if there is any other treatment you can offer and cost. If accepted, what duration of time do I have to stay in India? Are there hotels within walking distance of the hospital?
Attached are my MRI and colonoscopy reports.

VAAFT is the Video assisted Anal fistula treatment. A fistula-in-ano is an abnormal hollow tract or cavity that is lined with granulation tissue and that connects a primary opening inside the anal canal to a secondary opening in the perianal skin; secondary tracts may be multiple and can extend from the same primary opening.
VAAFT is the latest surgical treatment available for Fistula-in-ano. Under anaesthesia, a small telescope is passed through the outer opening of the fistula-in-ano on the skin. This is connected to an HD-camera which transmits the image of the inner side of the fistula tract to an HD- monitor. Under vision, the whole length of the fistula tract is removed up to its internal opening which is present inside the anal canal on its wall. Any branching of the fistula tracts can also be identified and treated by this method. The internal opening is then closed using a stitch or a stapler so that stools / feces do not leak back again into the fistula tunnel. Daily dressing is gently done by just flushing with saline using a syringe to remove the dead tissue inside the healing fistula tract.
You will need to stay here for a week . You can get the hotel in the walking distance.
