Candidates of Fellowship of Minimal Access Surgery learnt how to to laparoscopic appendectomy just by two port. Laparoscopic Appendicectomy although is a easy procedure but can be effectively performed even in complicated cases. Laparoscopic appendectomy for acute appendicitis is a safe same-day surgery procedure. Successful laparoscopic appendectomy performed timely can reduces LOS, antibiotic therapy, and wound infections compared with open appendectomy in perforated appendicitis without increasing the incidence of postoperative abscess. At World Laparoscopy Hospital We have witnessed that even perforated appendicitis can be managed effectively by laparoscopic appendectomy in a high percentage of patients with improved outcomes better compared with open appendectomy.

Laparoscopic Square Knot Practices used for Vault closure Gastric Plication and Rectopexy

Event Date: Jun 6, 2014

Event Time: 10:00 am

Location: World Laparoscopy Hospital, Gurgaon

Publisher; WLH

Today surgeons and gynecologist has practiced Laparoscopic Square Knot Practices used for Vault closure Gastric Plication and Rectopexy. The effect of knot geometry on the strength of laparoscopic slip knots has been measured in lab setting at World Laparoscopy Hospital and according to our result multithrough extracorporeal square knot is one of the strongest for the tissue approximation under tension. One-way analysis of variance was performed to detect significant differences in knot strengths, and the variability in knot strength for extracorporeal square knot type was determined by Tukey's multiple comparison test.

Roader, Meltzer and Mishra Knot Practices

Event Date: Jun 5, 2014

Event Time: 10:30 am

Location: World Laparoscopy Hospital

Publisher; WLH

Surgeons and Gynecologist practicing extracorporeal knot. Laparoscopy is advantageous for patient to deal with surgical diseases, yet tying knot and applying sutures within the cavity inflated by carbon dioxide is a challenge. A knot to secure tissue approximation, which would be hand-made, secure, simple, easy, quick, reliable. Knot can be extracorporeal and intra-corporeal and extracorporeal without extra mechanical devices, was developed. A comparative study from the Mishra knot, the Roeder knot, and the classical surgical knot, because the gold standard, using polypropylene, silk, catgut, polyglycolic acid, and Polyglactin, was performed in pigs. Measurements were time to perform, slippage, and breaking point that was measured having a manual digital tensometer.   More...
