Event Date: Tue - 3 Jun, 2014
Event Time: 3:30 pm
Location: World Laparoscopy Hospital
The objective of Top Gun Drill Exercise program at World Laparoscopy Hospital is to allow surgeons and gynecologist to acquire advanced laparoscopic surgical skills in both instrument manipulation, depth perception, tissue dissection technique and laparoscopic suturing. When Dr. Rosser formulated Top Gun in 1990, he soon started with ten drills, and correlated them to intracorporeal suturing. Only ability to perform the above mentioned drills correlated to success tying intracorporeal sutures, so they were the ones selected.
The goal of the Top Gun course would be to teach surgeons to suture and improve their skill in the beginning of Laparoscopic Surgery. Every surgeon who has participated in Fellowship program of World Laparoscopy Hospital has finished with the opportunity to do the basic Top Gun Drill Exercises by the end of the program. The Top Gun training method continues to be featured as part of the WLH Fellowship since 2001.
