Today the gynecologists had hands on practice on Diagnostic Hysteroscopy. It is combined with Diagnostic Laparoscopy to rule out any congenital abnormalities, adhesions , and hydrosalpinx etc. The endometrial cavity is distended using normal saline. The uterine ostia are located and cannulated with uterine cathter over a guide wire. The tubes are irrigated with diluted methylene blue dye and the spillage of the dye is noticed on the Laparoscopic monitor.Learning Hysteroscopy is essential for gynecologists. In many circumstances hysteroscopy may offer alternative to hysterectomy.
