Can we use Monopolar hook to open anterior UV fold if harmonic is not available? What suture material do we use to close vault with extra-corporeal knot? |

Mono-polar Hook Can be used safely to open the UV fold and to do anterior as well as posterior colpotomy. For vault closure simple Vicryl and PDS is sufficient. Nowadays gynecologists are shifting over quilt suture or V-Loc suture. I think harmonic is always good for colpotomy. My professor in Turkey is performing TLH with ligasure 10mm and harmonic 10 mm in half an hour. He take entire vascular bundle together. |
