A 26 year old unmarried woman with 32 week size? ovarian cyst (which was a recurrence following previous aspiration, suggesting benign pathology), came mild pain abdomen. What are the precautions to be taken for laparoscopic cystectomy? The cyst is freely mobile, unilocular, thin walled on ultrasound scan. |

Dear Dr Samyukta Aspirating the ovarian cyst is not recommended. Complete cystectomy should be performed. Anyway the pain may be sometime due to infection of aspiration. Please perform laparoscopic ovarian cystectomy as soon as possible. With regard R K Mishra |
