Dear Ann

There are many new technology is present to treat fibroid.

Myomectomy

This surgical treatment was made to fulfill the need for uterine fibroid treatments that preserved the uterus plus a woman's childbearing potential. The task, through which exactly the fibroid tumor or tumors are surgically removed, became the preferred fibroid strategy to women meaning to keep their fertility.

Hormone Therapy

GnRH agonists are drugs that block estrogen production, starving uterine fibroids of estrogen and making them shrink. Lupron may be the drug most often used, often together with other uterine fibroid treatments. Lupron may be used to shrink fibroid tumors, making fibroid treatment with surgery simpler to perform. But shrinkage is temporary and also the drug which linked to menopause-like symptoms such as hot flashes, moodiness, insomnia, impotence, and premature bone mineral loss.

Myolysis or Cryomyolysis

They are uterine fibroid treatments by which uterine fibroids are burned or frozen via laparoscopic surgery.

Focused Ultrasound Therapy

MR-guided, focused ultrasound obliterates tumors by focusing high-intensity ultrasound beams around the growths, raising the temperature enough to sneak them. The procedure is guided by magnetic resonance (MR) images. The MR scanner permits the Interventional Radiologist to view in which the fibroid is along with what has become treated and also to monitor temperature changes inside the body. Only a little spot is treated at the same time and the process is repeated, usually about 50 times per session, before the fibroid is destroyed. The technologies are tied to symptomatic women not interested in childbearing that have just one or two fibroids. Large fibroids and multiple smaller fibroids are hard to help remedy. One caution is that, as this is a fresh technology, the long-term effects are certainly not yet clear.

Uterine Fibroid Embolization (UFE)

It is a new, non-surgical uterine fibroid treatment. It's safer than uterine fibroid treatments that require surgery, and a noteworthy alternative for many women who strongly wish to avoid hysterectomy, or are likely to experience difficulty with myomectomy. Even though it is relatively new compared to uterine fibroid treatments including hysterectomy and myomectomy, greater than 200,000 for women who live been treated with UFE.

Which option will be better for you will be decided by your gynecologist depending upon many factors like fertility, age and any co morbidity which you may have

With regards
