Dear Haritha Your question is not complete we can not give you any advice without knowing your and your family is complete or not. The treatment of fibroid is a difficult decision. To treat uterine fibroids, laparoscopic surgery surgery can be used to remove fibroids only called laparoscopic myomectomy or to remove the entire uterus called laparoscopic hysterectomy. Laparoscopic Surgery is a reasonable treatment option when: Heavy uterine bleeding and or anemia has continued in women after several months of therapy with birth control hormones and a nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID). The uterus is misshapen by fibroids and and if your age is less you have had repeat miscarriages or trouble getting pregnant. Fibroid pain or pressure affects your quality of life. If you have urinary or bowel problems from a fibroid pressing on your bladder, ureter, or bowel then also surgery is required. There is a rare possibility that cancer is present if the patient is elderly. Fibroids are a possible cause of your trouble getting pregnant. So in our advice you should contact a good gynecologist or alternatively you can come to our hospital and get your self examined and then we can give you proper advice. With regards Dr J S Chowhan |

i am having fibroid in interior of wall 10 mm to 15 mm size and i am not married at the age of31. plz tell me i can bear the child in future or not Dear Shweta The size of the fibroids is very small and should not cause difficulty in child bearing. But if they are located at the cornus or pressing on the proximal cornual fallopian tube then it can cause problem. So you may send the reports for further advice. Thanks Dr j S Chowhan |

sir i am 53, during last period there was excessive bleeding and continued for 7 days and consulted gyno and he further advised ultra sonography and in usg a small well defined isoechoic solid SOL 0.95x1.07 is noted in the anterior myometrium with whorled appearance suggestive of myoma. i am worried, what should i do? i am very much afraid of surgical operation advise. Dear Mrs Rahman That much small fibroid should not be the cause of bleeding. You are already in Menopause age group and after the menopause your fibroid should shrink. With regard Sadhana |

Hi ! I had a intramural fibroid post wall,2.73*2.43 cm.There was prior symptoms. Protruding into cavity.Had hysteroscopy in Feb''2016. In may my FE(fertility expert) wrote on my sheet Ant wall I/M fibroid +as before. I m planning to go for IVF via donor egg. Should I worry about? What should be my line of treatment. Dear Skuriti, Dont worry dear shuriti,Fibroids removed laparoscopically (myomectomy) by very small 2 or 3 incisions.Following laparoscopic myomectomy, most women are able to leave the hospital the same day as surgery Because the incisions are small, recuperation is usually associated with minimal discomfort.because abdominal cavity is not opened to air, bacteria are less likely to reach the area of surgery, and the risk of infection is very low. You can come to our hospital World laparoscopy Hospital , Gurgaon for best laparoscopic and Robotic surgery for all type of myomectomy surgery. With regards- Dr.S.Hussain |

A well defined hypoechoic space occupying lesion (11mm * 11mm) is seen in anterior wall of fundus. Dear Mrs Madhumita You have not told your age or symptom due to this fibroid. If it is asymptomatic and you are already completed the family then that much small fibroid does not need any treatment. With regard Dr R K Mishra |

I am 34yrs old ,had 2 miscarriages and 1 still birth at 5month and since then i have not been able to conceive Scan shows that am having multiple fibriods 145mm*63.6mm*58.7mm Also noted anterior wall and fundal subserous myoma Kindly advice on the best treatment to take Dear Aina The size of your fibroid is big. You have also stated that it is the subserosal fibroid (myoma). Patient will have difficulty in conception if they have subserosal fibroid. You need to go for the surgery as soon as possible because this fibroid can affect your fertility. Laparoscopic myomectomy can be done in this. Laparoscopic Myomectomy, sometimes also fibroidectomy, refers to the surgical removal of uterine leiomyomas, also known as fibroid. In contrast to a hysterectomy the uterus remains preserved and the woman retains her reproductive potential. With Regards Dr Rahul |

Fibroid measuring 18X17 mm in left anterolateral aspect of uterus. Age 52 years. Menopause over. No pain or bleeding.uterus size 63X48X35mm. Endometrial normal(ET-6.4mm).ovaries normal in echotexture. Is the fibroid of concern? Dear Lakshmi The size of fibroid is not of concern, as the size is small, already in menopause and most importantly causing no symptoms. So you don't need to do anything on this. But if it start growing in size and start causing symptoms than you need to again think on it. Have a close watch on it and go for regular scans once in 3 month. With Regards Dr Rahul |

I am 35 years old married with two kids. I have a 28mm fibroid in anterior wall. Uterus size is bulky. Please tell the remedy. Dear Shalini Fibroids are abnormal growths that develop in or on a woman’s uterus. Sometimes these tumors become quite large and cause severe abdominal pain and heavy periods. In other cases, they cause no signs or symptoms at all. The growths are typically benign (noncancerous). Yes you can go for the laparoscopic surgery for this. Laparoscopic myomectomy is the surgery in which the fibroid is removed from the uterus. |

Multiple fibroid noted in anterior wall largest measures 4.3*3.1cm,other measures 2.5*3cm,some fibre showa intra lesional vascularity& also heavy bleeding on 2nd day. Dear Vidya Fibroids are the most frequently seen tumors of the female reproductive system. Fibroids, also known as uterine myomas, leiomyomas, or fibromas, are firm, compact tumors that are made of smooth muscle cells and fibrous connective tissue that develop in the uterus. It is estimated that between 20 to 50 percent of women of reproductive age have fibroids, although not all are diagnosed. In near future this fibroid can cause some problem and can lead to infertility. So you need to get rid of it. Laparoscopic Myomectomy is the surgery of choice in this. In this the myoma or fibroid are removed from the the uterus preserving the uterus andits fertility. |

Hi doc I am 13 weeks pregnant. On my 6 week usg scan an intra mural fibroid was noted in anterior wall measuring 1.8x2.1cm. My 13 week scanning revealed a large maternal uterine fibroid in anterior wall measuring 6.3x2.9cm. Is anything to worry doctor. Please help me out. Dear Arunima The size of the fibroid is not so bigger. The pregnancy will supress the fibroid so you need no to worry. But be regular with your ANC visit and keep a close watch on the size of the fibroid. But once your pregnancy is over you should get it out. With Regards Dr Rahul |
