Yes, there is a chance of recurrence of both endometriosis and fibroids after surgery. As per doctors, surgery like laparoscopic myomectomy (for fibroids) and laparoscopic excision or ablation (for endometriosis) can provide significant symptom relief and improve fertility. However, recurrence rates can vary based on factors such as age, hormone levels, size and number of fibroids, and the extent of endometriosis.
Recurrence Chances:

Fibroids: About 15% to 30% of women may experience regrowth of fibroids within 5 years after myomectomy, especially if they are younger or have multiple fibroids.

Endometriosis: Recurrence can happen in 20% to 40% of cases within 5 years, especially if hormone therapy is not continued after surgery.

Doctors often recommend post-surgery hormone therapy (like GnRH analogs, birth control pills, or progestins) to reduce recurrence risk. For women planning pregnancy, conceiving soon after recovery may lower the chance of recurrence affecting fertility.
Cost of Surgery:

The cost of endometriosis and fibroid surgery depends on the type of hospital (government or private), location, and complexity of the case.

In India, the approximate cost ranges are:

Laparoscopic Myomectomy or Endometriosis Surgery: ₹70,000 to ₹1,50,000 in private hospitals.

In reputed multispecialty or corporate hospitals, it can go up to ₹2,00,000 to ₹2,50,000.

Government hospitals may offer surgery at very low or no cost, depending on the scheme or eligibility.

Consult a gynecologist or laparoscopic surgeon to assess your condition and recommend the most suitable treatment. You may also ask about the benefits of combination surgery if both fibroids and endometriosis are present. Early treatment and follow-up care are key to better outcomes.
