You mentioned that you have been experiencing a burning sensation and pain while urinating for the past two years, and despite undergoing several treatments, you have not found relief. Additionally, your sonography report is normal. This condition can be very uncomfortable, and your concern is completely understandable. There can be several underlying reasons for such a long-standing issue, including: Chronic Urinary Tract Infection (UTI) that has not been fully resolved. Interstitial Cystitis – a chronic condition affecting the bladder. Microscopic infections in the kidneys or bladder that may not show up on a regular sonography. Acidic diet, spicy foods, or dehydration, which can also cause irritation and burning. Se-xually Transmitted Infections (STIs) – if there has been any risk of exposure, it’s important to get tested. Here’s what I recommend: Get a Urine Culture and Sensitivity Test done. This will help identify the specific bacteria causing the issue so that the correct antibiotic can be prescribed. Consult a urologist (a urinary tract specialist), who may also recommend tests like cystoscopy or other diagnostics if needed. Increase your water intake and avoid spicy and acidic foods. If there is any possibility of a s-exually transmitted infection, it is essential to get it evaluated and treated. This condition can be completely resolved with the right diagnosis and treatment. Please consult a specialist as soon as possible |
