I think I have stage 4 piles. It has been almost 15 years since I first got it. Ever since the weather started getting warmer, I’ve been experiencing pain. I am 28 years old, and my weight since childhood has been the same. |

You said you have had piles for almost 15 years and now you feel it has reached stage 4. You are 28 years old and your pain has increased since the weather got warmer. The piles stay outside the anus and cannot be pushed back in. They can cause pain, bleeding, swelling, itching, and sometimes infection. Home remedies usually don’t work at this stage. Surgery is often needed. Why it hurts more in summer: Heat weather can cause more sweating and irritation. Heat can increase swelling and pain. What you should do: Visit a doctor (a proctologist or surgeon). You may need surgery like: Laser treatment Stapler surgery Hemorrhoidectomy (surgical removal) Take care of your diet: Drink more water Eat more fruits, vegetables, and fiber Avoid spicy and oily food Keep the area clean: Use warm water sitz baths (sit in a tub of warm water for 10–15 minutes) Keep the anal area dry Avoid straining during toilet: Go when you feel the urge Don’t sit on the toilet for too long Check your weight: If you are overweight, it can make piles worse Try to stay active and eat healthy Since it’s been 15 years and your condition is getting worse, it’s best to see a doctor soon. |
