It is quite common to feel some swelling, mild pain, or vein-like structures even 2–3 weeks after laparoscopic varicocele surgery. Healing takes time, and the veins may take several weeks to gradually shrink. The tenderness and discomfort on touch, especially on the left side, can be due to postoperative inflammation or residual swelling. This does not necessarily mean the surgery has failed. However, if the pain is persistent, increasing, or associated with significant swelling, redness, or fever, you should consult your surgeon for examination and possibly a follow-up ultrasound. For now, continue scrotal support, avoid heavy activity, and take prescribed medications. Most patients improve over 4–6 weeks. |
